Unexpected Review

Reason 304: So I watched a new anime. It's called Rosario to Vampire.

Prepare for some massive spoilers. Which I won't feel sorry about because this show is NOT worth watching.

So there's this kid, Tsukune. He is pretty weak. He's not the macho type, but rather the sweet and shy type. His build is average, I'd say. He accidentally enrolled into a high school (boarding school). On his first day, he runs into this ridiculously attractive girl named Moka. They become bestest buds on the spot. Once they get to school, all these guys are like HOLY CRAP SHE'S SEXY, and she's all Tsukune <3333333333333 insert hearts and bubbles and pink glitter everywhere. So all these guys already hate Tsukune. First class, Tsukune finds out something very important: This is a school for monsters. It is within a barrier so no humans can get in (whoops). The purpose of the school is for monsters and humans to coexist, SO since humans aren't exactly fond of monsters, there are 2 major rules. One, all students must be in human form at all times. Two, you must not tell anyone your true monster identity. Because of these rules, Tsukune is able to go undiscovered (by everyone except Moka, who he already told). Turns out, Moka's rosary around her neck is a seal. Once it is pulled off, her true vampire self is revealed (she goes from a cutie with pink hair and green eyes to a BAMF with white hair, red eyes, and a haunting voice). So obviously Tsukune is freaked the hell out but he decides to stay. The rest of the show is everyone being REALLY BAD at following these 2 simple rules, every other girl falling for Tsukune (some of which become his friends and continue to fight over him through the show although he and Moka are clearly gonna be a thing), and Moka's rosary getting pulled off so that BAMF Moka can save them from whatever idiot monster arrives.

Problems with this show:
  1. Predictable plot for every episode
  2. Shows where 1000 people like the same character SUCK
  3. Score/Music is awful. Openings/Endings are decent.
  4. Even though the art & plot are super girly, it was obviously done by a male. Boobs and panties EVERYWHERE. I couldn't go a full minute in episode 1 without complaining about the skirts. If you need to censor the image constantly, JUST MAKE THE SKIRTS LONGER.
  5. Sequel to the series should've just been one long series. And the sequel added a VERY unnecessary character that I want to kill.
  6. There's a problem when my favorite character is the narrator.
BUT the point I'm trying to make (excuse my rant) is that I finished it today. It's over. I can MOVE ON. YAY MOVING ON FROM AWFUL THINGS. I'll give it props though. The plot for the last 3 episodes was pretty good. Overall had an awful message (similar to Jem with the whole which version do I like even though they're THE SAME PERSON). But the ending and moral end up being pretty cool. Anyway. No more. Onto better things! (Hopefully). Next in the line up: FMA Brotherhood, Naruto SD, and Attack On Titan. ALL AT ONCE!

Also, I'm on a serious Bruno Mars kick. I ADORE the groove in this song.
