A Poem by Jonathan Lieder

Roses are red
Violets are blue
I'm writing a poem
Just for you

Whether you use
Or if you ignore

Writing this poem
Is actually a bore

I guess I should stop
But maybe I won't
I guess this poem will be
A list of do's and dont's
Do look both ways
But don't jump off a building
Do walk with scissors
But no Jews for cooking

That's all I know
Of whats right and wrong
But hairy men in thongs

Is wrong in Hong Kong
Should I stop?

Or just continue?
Why do you answer?
It was part of the poem too
This poem is deep
This poem is long
Oh hey look at that
We're back at men in thongs
Why focus on this?
Maybe it's a funny sight
Getting food now
Would be a delight
For im rather hungry
And there's nothing i can do
There's no food here
It makes me sad too
My tummy's a' grumblin'
It says I want more
Writing this poem
Is still a bore
But I love my friend Sammy
She's dearest to me indeed
I love her to death
'Till I'm hundred and three
There was the typical

Lovey dovey part
That ends from the roses and violet
Poems from the start
But now I'm back to the random
Things that seem weird
Like red cats and glass toilets
Or a TV with a beard
Would it be short?
Or would it be great
My dad looks like
He's one hundred and eight
Oh I got my old phone back
So I can have apps
Now I can go to class
While I play taptap
It's quite a fun game
The guitar hero of thumbs
Have you seen Rubber?
That movie's quite dumb
Sammy can I stop now?
I think I'm quite done
I've made many rhymes
So I hope 'tis the last one

So I told Jonathan I was struggling with my poem and he decided to help.

Merry Christmas, every one.
