February Finale

• Another sunny day
• Ciara came by the office today! With all the girls in tow. Layla said she liked me haha. I think she found it funny that I was small? But she asked me how old I was and I said I was the same age as her mom. I told her that her mom and I went to school together and she was shocked. She asked if we were friends, and I said of course! And that made her very happy. I got to meet baby Valentina for the first time. She's a few months old now, still so itty bitty. But she's a chunky nugget with big, squishable cheeks and I love her. It was nice to see Ciara again, and to have fun with everyone
• GALA emailed me. I actually got a response. I have a callback, so to speak! Haha they want to see me again. I'm a finalist for the position. Not hired, but a finalist. It's such a confidence boost, honestly. I truly had given up hope on it and thought I'd have to start job hunting again. But maybe not yet. Maybe God has ideas. And she was super sweet, too. Like, wow. This might actually happen
• Shopping for class on Sunday is complete! Hopefully my ideas end up working out.  Shoutout to Claudia who heard I was going to Michaels and was like nah, take my Joann's coupons. Love her so dang much
• CHARLOTTE GOT INTO GRAD SCHOOL! As if there was any doubt but like I'M SO THRILLED FOR HER IT'S WHAT SHE DESERVES MY WONDERFUL BEST FRANNN
• February is over. I made it. I'm alive. Like, not just hey I completed this challenge. But hey, God granted me life and I didn't squander it. I didn't let my demons get the best of me. I actually came out of the dark hole relatively okay. It's not like the clock strikes midnight and March means no more depression. BUT it means that around now is when my body usually starts to wake up again and I get a better hold of my emotions and plans and such. And, God willing, I get to keep moving forward

For Vitamin D

Today was sunny and warm and glorious. After a pretty successful work day, I went to the park by my house. Haven't been there in a little while, so it felt good to go back. I just put on headphones and read my bible. It was a nice way to spend part of my day. I wish I could do it more often. I realize I've taken a lot of people to that little park. I think it's like Silver Diner. Everyone is invited, but at the end of the day, it's mine.

Watched an episode of The Punisher and the yummy Ben Barnes was in hit little cot, reading The Picture of Dorian Gray. I squealed, I was so excited. Like, A+++ for the props team, bravo. I'm sure he got a kick out of it. And if he was the one who decided that, then I love him for the vain creature that he is.

Handy Helper!

Little miss Keila (Claudia's 13 year old daughter who I've watched grow up and actually adore and wish I were best friends with) came to work today! She didn't want to go to school I guess. So Claudia put her to work. And by that I mean she said Keila was my help for the day. And what a help she was! Oh my goodness. I'm sure she found it all boring and tedious. 'Cause like, it is, that's my job description. But she helped me so so much, I can't even tell you. Considering I wasn't there on Friday and I'm helping out with Alba's work while she's away for a week, having Keila there today made a real difference. Plus I just enjoy her company. She's a cool lady. And I really liked having someone who sings along to the radio just as much as I do.

Today was absolutely gorgeous. I didn't get to go outside for long but wow were those few moments in the sun so needed. So brilliant. I felt like a whole different person. I almost enjoyed driving.

By the by, homeboy never messaged me back, so I guess plans for today were cancelled. Almost all my plans for this whole week have been cancelled actually. Which means more time for PUNISHERRRR I'm gonna binge this show all weeeeeekkkk. Judge me, I'm actually way too excited about that and need someone to put me in my place.

Field Day

We ran around a field today! Alpha Psi Omega did. We played soccer and cornhole and tried to fly a kite and blew bubbles and all sorts of fun outdoor stuff. And there were freeze pops and fruit and cheeseballs. And basically I sat around and sunbathed haha. It was wonderful. I so enjoy the company of these people. And it was absolutely gorgeous outside. No tan. But all the fun in the world. This organization is perfect.

Sometimes It's the Sky

Today? It's the sky. That sun. And that bright blue sky. Gorgeous weather. No wind. Just warmth. It feels like Spring. And I am beyond thrilled about it. How lovely to sit in the sunlight and laugh and sing and just be merry. Excuse me while I pretend I am a Disney princess and sing to the birds.

Reason 257: BEAUTIFUL day outside, so my only class of the day is outside. We practice Chinese exercises. Theatre majors have all the fun. I am FINALLY done with registration. I will be taking astronomy. And my gym is a Musical Theatre Dance class. YES TO THIS.

Reason 26: I got some free time. It's so relaxing here. I decided to sit outside and read. But I have no fun books. But I do have your journal. And oh, how I miss you. I didn't get to finish though, my peer mentor asked me to play a game with her friends, which was absolutely wonderful. I can't help but think how much you'd like it here.
