I Pledge Allegiance

Reason 190: We found out tons more about the pledge process into the Theatre Honors Society, Alpha Psi Omega. I'm super excited to make my presentation and find out who my Big will be. This group of kids is so great, and I know a lot of good will come from joining.

Forget the Superbowl, I am spending my evening WATCHING PAPERMAN OVER AND OVER BECAUSE OMG IT'S FINALLY ON YOUTUBE IN GOOD QUALITY WATCH IT WATCH IT NOW. And tell me it doesn't deserve all the awards

Reason 177: Baking day! Fun day of baking & karaoke with the girls from church. Always fun to get together and hang out. I seriously feel like we can talk about anything, and it's always great to laugh together. Especially when there are cookies involved! I'm also glad Karla got to go and we could all enjoy her company :)

As we ready ourselves for Oscar season, THIS is the winner of the Best Animated Short from last year.

It won against Disney's La Luna, although that technically came out this year with Brave.

This year, PAPERMAN is nominated, and I want it to win with absolutely all my heart. (Quality is bad. Considering that the animation is one of the most incredible things about this short, I'd actually probably wait to watch it with Wreck-It-Ralph. But I had to share because it's just so beautiful)

Reason 99: So we went to see Wreck-It-Ralph today. BEYOND perfect. I loved absolutely every reference. All the jokes landed well. The music was fun. The animation was great. It was very visually pleasing overall. The characters were all so loveable. And the entire concept was awesome. I'm being generous, I know. But I seriously adored that movie and would not hesitate to go back.

AND

It comes with a short called Paperman. Umm... I cried... Like that's so embarrassing but it was such  a beautiful story. I think the animation did it for me. But honestly, I had way too many feelings over something that wasn't even five minutes. It's like the first five minutes of Up with a happy ending!

Reason 51: Disney trips. This might actually happen. I just got emailed more information for our Jan Terms, and I actually might be able to do this. DO YOU UNDERSTAND HOW EXCITING THIS IS?! A CLASS IN DISNEY WORLD. I'D GET TO MEET A REAL PIXAR ANIMATOR. I'm so incredibly excited at these possibilities. I want it more than anything :3 Here's hoping!
