12/15/15

Jen described it as a holiday party. Where everyone comes for food and drink and general merriment. Conversations break off into different corners. Kids play with their toys. And people slowly start to head home. The little one falls asleep on someone else. And the big kids keep playing until bedtime.

Lots of people came over yesterday, including Paul who cannot stop spoiling our apartment and brought us brownies. We all played lots of Mario Kart, and then some Mario Party 7. Friendships were only made stronger haha. Then Paul made me start Chibi-Robo which is insanely Japanese but really cute and fun. Dunno when I'll get a chance to pick it up again but I thoroughly enjoyed it. Yay fun with friends and GameCube!

Whipped

Spent the day with my loving brother today. Catching up with Evan was pretty cool. It was the first time I'd ever been in his house! I met the runny babbit <3 And got to hang out with James (his brother) and Mark (their childhood friend) for the afternoon. I find it entertaining how many of my friends I've shown the Morogiello brothers off to, and how many of my friends find them attractive haha. James is even more charming in person XD We gushed over Evan's girlfriend (he is so smitten, it is the most precious thing). We watched Lilo & Stitch and I cried (shuddup, I'm not even sorry, I warned him). I kept my Mario Kart champion title against Evan and Mark. The boys played Sonic & Skyrim and we chatted about all the pleasant things. And some things not so pleasant, which is proof of a great time heh. I even got to see his parents, which always warms my heart. Basically, I saw my brother. And that right there is a good day. ALSO, James is going to be taking IB Theatre 2 this year.
Pray. For. Him.

What I think of when I hear the word "whipped"

Let's Play Some Tetris!

Reason 202: I'm making my pledge letter! Which isn't a letter at all. It's a giant project to say that I've earned enough points to join Alpha Psi. SO what have I been doing all day? Chillin' with Karla, making a giant Tetris board. Yup that's the plan! I'll show you once it's done. But I'm having the best time with it. YAY CHILDHOOD IN 3-D!

Side note, so true in my life right now <3

SURPRISE!

Reason 192: Emily spent this whole afternoon playing Mario Party 7. It really makes me so happy that she's into these games and she's learning more about them. Since she played all day, she actually got me 1000 mileage points. So, as usual, we went to the "Duty-Free Shop" to see what the game would let me get. And, since I FINALLY got all the souvenirs, I wanted to buy secrets. SO we bought the souvenir secret, and I found out that if you say "Surprise" into the Mic while viewing a souvenir, it will do a cool trick! AH! I'm way too excited about this. But seriously. So cute. I'm beyond happy. YAY!

Also, excitement because THEY'RE BACK!

Tadaima!

Reason 183: That is the romaji spelling for the Japanese word to say "I'm home" or "I have returned" (loose translation). Yep, I'm back at McDaniel with my awesome roommate and dear friends. I'm feeling good, and am excited for a semester of fun classes and great shows. YAY DEAN'S LIST.

Also, lookie what Emily's boyfriend got me!

Dynamite Gals

Reason 99: So we went to see Wreck-It-Ralph today. BEYOND perfect. I loved absolutely every reference. All the jokes landed well. The music was fun. The animation was great. It was very visually pleasing overall. The characters were all so loveable. And the entire concept was awesome. I'm being generous, I know. But I seriously adored that movie and would not hesitate to go back.

AND

It comes with a short called Paperman. Umm... I cried... Like that's so embarrassing but it was such  a beautiful story. I think the animation did it for me. But honestly, I had way too many feelings over something that wasn't even five minutes. It's like the first five minutes of Up with a happy ending!

Disney has done it again.

Here's a song from the soundtrack :)
