December Catch-up

Wow. Have I really not written on here in almost a month? Yeah, I've been busy. But that's unacceptable. Let's get so some smiles

  • It's Christmas. Like I know it's not yet, but it's Christmas. And there's pretty lights everywhere and all these fun decorations and outfits and the radio has Christmas music and people are in such a cheerful mood. Yay holidays!
  • We keep getting all this amazing food brought to the office. Blessings galore.
  • I miss McDaniel and Dog Party and Holiday Cabaret and all those fun things. But it's nice to see everyone else enjoy them and have a whole new generation take part. Plus, Torreke and Veronica danced to Howl's Moving Castle score and I'm still not over it.
  • I had my last therapy session on the 9th. I was told that I could always count on my therapist as a resource if I ever needed it, but that I'd gotten to a good place and made a lot of progress in a short time, so I don't need regularly scheduled appointments anymore. I've gotten my anxiety to a manageable place.
  • I had a birthday! With lots of fun gifts! And delicious foods. But mostly, with my favorite people. Cutting a cake with my immediate family was honestly so nice. My niece always manages to put a big smile on my face. She even prayed for our dinner and for my birthday. I was a very happy aunt. And the next week, I had a bigger dinner with some close friends. Seeing them was such a treat, but seeing them all get along and become fast friends is truly the greatest gift I ever could have asked for.
  • I had a lovely brunch with Jim Dyson, only my favorite alumn ever! We caught up and talked life after McDaniel and RWBY fan theories. He's such a good person and I had a blast. Can't go wrong with Silver Diner!
  • I've been able to talk to Nick a lot more. The kid has a life, and finals affect everyone differently, so I am still sad that I didn't get to see him for my birthday, but I refuse to hold a grudge or let that get to my energy. I'm just glad we're talking somewhat regularly again. I'm very happy to have him in my life.
  • Michael is such a great friend. He's just so supportive and kind and understanding. I am glad that we've always gotten along so well.
  • Hairspray Live happened. It may not have been the greatest thing ever but I had fun and it brought back some sweet memories.
  • Pentatonix had their own Christmas special oh my goodness I am way too proud of them.
  • I got to see Eric! We had a mini-birthday celebration for the both of us. I need that boy in my life more, seriously, he's a gem and I miss him.
  • Brookside Gardens twice. I never ever ever get tired of that place. It's so beautiful and magical and happy. It reminds me of childhood, and it's so fun to walk through, even if it is cold haha.
  • Ugly sweater party at church! Even if I didn't win, everyone looked so cute and it's nice to be silly with the youth group every once in a while.
  • Christmas party at work was awesome. Exhausting and kinda expensive on my end, haha. But awesome. People are still telling me how much they enjoyed the games, which is always nice to hear. And I just enjoyed some delicious food with people I am proud to call my co-workers. Everyone looked so good. And I got the most beautiful ornament from my boss' wife. There's no way on earth she knew how much I love angels. That's God at work right there.
  • Have I mentioned how happy I am that you're here? I hope I have. Because I really am. I almost feel spoiled compared to the 8 years without you right by my side. I have no idea what I'll do when you leave. But I know it's not forever. And until then, I'm loving the mess out of having you in the states.
  • There's more. There has to be more. It's been such a good time. I am so very blessed. Bad days happen and bumps get in the way but overall, I am grateful. I pray that the rest of the world be able to feel the love this holiday season. It's a scary time for so many out there, but none of us are alone. And there's always someone, somewhere willing to help in whatever way they can. So I'll do what I can to keep spreading that cheer. And to keep it going all the way into 2017!

Ladies of the Laughing Trio

Spent the afternoon with Margie and Charlotte yesterday. Ugh. I love those girls. Seriously. They are such a brilliant support to me when things get rough. They are 1000% ready to spill the tea at all times. We're all just walking memes. And we can always get deep and cry with one another when we need to. Basically, I had a lovely day of venting and laughing and screaming and singing and nonsense. We went to Silver Diner for old times' sake. I'll seriously never get tired of that place. And they finally met Cristina! Little miss was cranky 'cause she literally woke up in front of them, but at least she's cute haha. I'm happy they finally got to see her and that, after much fighting, she eventually said hi to them. Karla taught us all a valuable lesson, too: It is never too hot for manners. Charlotte is off to school for her final year starting next week (otherwise I would've begged the girls to go to Choices with me), so this was a nice last hurrah for the summer. As soon as she's on break, we'll get to do it all over again.

My Stress Relief

6. The best friend who is your opposite, but feels like home.
This is a best friend you’ve grown up with, someone who has known you from the start.
Her presence grounds you. Though you two may have developed opposite interests and become different individuals over the years, having her in your life roots you to something fundamental within yourself.
Seeing her or even just talking to her is a comfort. She feels like coming home, and you’d be lost without her as an anchor.

I told you last night about all the things I have to do. Well church today kinda tripled my list. I've got A LOT too do. And I can do it. I have to. But I needed a moment to panic about it. And then, relax. And who better to help me with that then good ol' Jonathan. I finally hung out with him for the first time since October. It was lovely. We just chilled on the swings and chatted about absolutely everything. And boy did I need it. Just a good time with someone who gets me.

Day 12: Tiny
Me. I'm tiny. So tiny, I had to take this picture THROUGH THE BARS of the bridge because I could not reach over.

Whipped

Spent the day with my loving brother today. Catching up with Evan was pretty cool. It was the first time I'd ever been in his house! I met the runny babbit <3 And got to hang out with James (his brother) and Mark (their childhood friend) for the afternoon. I find it entertaining how many of my friends I've shown the Morogiello brothers off to, and how many of my friends find them attractive haha. James is even more charming in person XD We gushed over Evan's girlfriend (he is so smitten, it is the most precious thing). We watched Lilo & Stitch and I cried (shuddup, I'm not even sorry, I warned him). I kept my Mario Kart champion title against Evan and Mark. The boys played Sonic & Skyrim and we chatted about all the pleasant things. And some things not so pleasant, which is proof of a great time heh. I even got to see his parents, which always warms my heart. Basically, I saw my brother. And that right there is a good day. ALSO, James is going to be taking IB Theatre 2 this year.
Pray. For. Him.

To Pinterest!

Brunch with my laughing trio today, plus Spencer who asked for the whole thing to happen because he wanted to see us outside a work setting. With special guest, Harrison! And oh my gosh did we laugh. And have a beautiful meal, thank you Charlotte and your pinterest board. I'm especially glad I saw Harrison, because I didn't think I would his summer. It's been so nice to just hang out with everyone like old times. Except I think we're all in a much better place than we were a year ago. I see these people being dear to me for very long.

SUGO

Two posts in one day because I don't play by your rules!

Had the LOVELIEST of evenings with Margie & Charlotte. We went to this place called Sugo's in Potomac. Food was so good. And there was NUTELLA CHEESECAKE. Best believe I brought that home with me. The things we talked about. What didn't we talk about? I love those girls. I truly can tell them anything and everything. I love our friendship to an unimaginable degree. ALSO, Spencer, the darling that he is, was working hard! I'm super glad I got to see him. That kid is growing up really well, and I can't wait to see him succeed in everything. ELIGIBLE BACHELOR OVER HERE LADIES & GENTLEMEN! You know who isn't a bachelor? The freaking gorgeous waiter with the exotic name that Spencer set up for us. Like, boo that he has a girlfriend, but he was just so nice to look at. Thank you Spencer. Thank you.

I'll get back to you whenever I stop playing this song

Go CutCo!

Reason 336: I got a letter AGES ago. It was a job offer from some company called Vector. It was some business thing. I overlooked it because business is NOT my territory. Jess, however, took it. That's all I knew. TURNS OUT. That company is getting sales representatives for knives from a brand called CutCo. Fabrizio works for them and set up an appointment with my mother tonight. So he was just chilling at our house selling knives. Very good knives I might add. I told Jess, because she asked about this random boy who was appearing a my home, and she was like DANGIT I WAS GONNA ASK YOUR MOM! Haha. This world we live in is so small. The part that blows my mind is I actually want to do what they're doing, just for a different company, and I overlooked it! Uysh. I fail haha. Anyway, after his pitch, my mom invited him to spend some more time hanging out. She gave him food and sat him down comfortably. So we basically hung out and talked about whatever for the evening. It was more than pleasant :) I'm so glad I've gotten closer to him this year.

Speaking of small world. My favorite thing ever is when Youtubers know each other and collaborate.
I visually enjoy JJH

But Ya Gotta Have Friends

Reason 332: Today was a day for revisiting friendships. After the whole drama of a BEE IN MY HOUSE, I calmed down and got myself to Downtown Silver Spring (lolmiddleschool). I spent my evening with Jason! It was fun, I honestly missed him. Same humor and personality I love. I can see some change in him, he's grown up, even if only a little heh. And he's still really kind to me, which I so needed. We went to Color Me Mine, and of course only I painted because Jason was too afraid he wouldn't like what he made haha. We got some frozen yogurt, which was flippin' delicious. We talked about a whole bunch of stuff. You know, they say misery enjoys company. And it's not like I'm glad to see Jason upset. But considering how distant I've felt from our old friends and how much I feel they've changed, it's just nice to know I'm not the only one who sees it. It may just mean I have some growing up and changing of my own to do. But at least I'm not alone. We saw This Is The End. So much of it should not have been funny but it had me rolling! I'm so glad I got to see it. And then we ran into a couple of friends from high school, all of Jason's old gang, but (aside from one) they were all upper classmen and weren't so close with me. I was surprised that out of all of them, I got the warmest welcome from DP. Due to some series of events, Jason's mom couldn't come get us. Getting  a ride with the group meant staying and waiting, and it was like 9:40. So, like a selfish brat (I hate myself I'm so awful omg I can't believe I did this I'm a horrible person) I called Eric (Allasi) and asked him for a ride. And like the knight in shining armor he is, he rushed over and picked me up. And I spent a good 5 minutes thanking him and saying how sorry I was. And then we just caught up and laughed and talked about work and such. Seriously, it's impossible to feel down around Eric. He treats me so well. To think I let him go for someone who dumped me after two weeks. Meh! Look at all the things that change in a year :)

This song is a part of the letter I wrote you today

This Is What We Do

Reason 307: To be honest, today's reason was also Cristina. She will probably be the best part about my day for as long as I live. But that's kinda cheap, so I will use a new reason.

Today, I spent my afternoon with my bestest friend Alex. We hung out, caught up, ate some Panera, played some vidya, FINALLY got a massage (score!), played with Kiba (eek!), and watched Road to Ninja! Finally! Yay movie time! Not fully what I had been expecting, but so glad I finally got to see it.

Reigning Champ

Reason 170: Hung out with Eric Allasi today! aka my fan in the front row :) I say this because he's gone to absolutely every show I've been in since he's met me and he ALWAYS gets a front row seat. Seeing him after over 6 months was super fun, even if my lack of sleep did get in the way of my ability to hold a normal conversation. And, as expected, i bat him in MarioKart. I beat him bad. teehee. I love when boys challenge me. It's a great feeling to watch them slowly realize they didn't have a chance ^_^ Yes, I'm very smug about it. The only person to EVER have beaten me is my cousin Jose, and hopefully we can rematch someday. I've had plenty of victories in my time (Alex & Storm included), and I plan to have many more. Hooray for being good at something ^_^

Blogger still hates me. I don't get what I've done. Oh well, here's a link to a blog I love. More specifically to a blog post that I can so relate to.
(In reference to the link)
Someone please tell my mom I'm not getting back together with Storm.
And someone please tell Karla that I have absolutely no interest in Evan.
Shipping friends is not cool bro

Mambo Italiano

Reason 8: After church, I spent my afternoon with Margie & Charlotte (laughing trio!) and Spencer (my little boy/Margie's boyfriend). And we had wonderful pasta & garlic bread. And then sobbed like maniacs at Toy Story 3. (Well, the girls did. Spencer has no tear ducts). I've come to the conclusion that food & love are the best combination. And I had more cheesecake!!

YAY! One week complete!
