• I wore my "Pupusas, Chocolate, & Netflix" shirt today which I ADORE and so did tons of other people who complimented me
• Somehow, by some miracle, work was pretty okay today. I stressed like a lot about pre-ops. But they all got in and then it felt like I worried for nothing

Few things are nicer than when you're hungry at work and someone brings in home cooked goodness. I was blessed. That stuff was goooooooood. Enchiladas, she called them, but to me, I'd just call them Tostadas? I dunno man, but Maria is on point and I appreciate her face. And her cooking. Mwuahh.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JESUS!

It is Christmas! And my favorite part is just all the love and joy people have. This is such a magical time. Our Lord and Savior was born. The greatest gift the world has ever known was given to this Earth, so of course this is cause for celebration!

Karla, Eric, and Cristina came over for lunch, so we, along with my Tia and Tio, all had an absolutely delicious meal together. Tio Jhonny can make a mean salad. And I'm going to have to start making some of that green bean casserole because WOW that was delish. How lovely to celebrate with good food and good company. With people who remember the reason for the season :)

Nothing makes you happy like a good meal. And lemme tell you. Hot turkey sandwich made with love from Mrs. Pat AND some amazing fudge cheesecake with an oreo crust made by Bonnie the Baker? Yes. Yes yes yes. Just all the yes. And all the Jess! I got to enjoy the meal with Jess A and Jess Mies. So basically lunch was just a very nice, happy time for me :)

Appreciate Your Tummy

And appreciate that it lets you eat real food. My tummy has been less than its best as of late. But today, little by little, I've been able to eat some normal stuff. Not a lot. It's been kinda iffy today so I shouldn't risk it too much. But pizza is nice. And oatmeal is nice. And I am happy for food hehe.

Today is a list day! That's always good!

• Met up with Storm for lunch. Always a pleasure to see a friend :)
• We had sushi for lunch and I actually really enjoyed it! Hooray for trying new things with an open mind!
• He brought me my book. After I thought he lost my favorite book ever and I would have to buy it again, he finally returned The Phantom Tollbooth to me. Happiness! Joy! Such satisfaction! I just kinda wish I'd had it before I got on a plane haha
• We headed over to Wheaton and I was able to buy some stuff for our service on Saturday.
• We went to FYE and I GOT TWO AWESOME CDS THAT I'VE BEEN WANTING FOR A WHILE NOW. My collections are almost complete :3
• Found out I actually have a REALLY good chance of seeing Anberlin live in November :DDD
• Ran into Peter & Brian at their work, and caught up with them which was lovely
• Daddy picked us up and, after dropping Storm off, bought me some McDonalds.
• We went to my grandma's grave for the 10th anniversary of her passing. He bought her coffee just the way she liked it. It's the 2nd time in my life I've ever seen my dad cry, the first being at her viewing. It hurt but it was sweet. I'm glad I got to go visit her for the first time in years

Twas an eventful day. The new episode of RWBY comes out tonight, so I will see it after service. I'm grateful for days like these. This is what being home should always be like.

Noodles!

I tried Noodles & Company for the first time! It was delicious! Can this be a thing? Can we keep going? I liked it. Let's go again. There's so many ways to prepare noodles ahhh!

Reason 326: Spencer texted me at work today! Ah! So it turns out he works at an Italian restaurant this summer! Oh, well then. Guess where the girls and I are gonna go soon! Reunited (over Italian food yet again) and it feels so good! ;)

12 years ago, Carrie Hope Fletcher played Young Eponine in Les Miserables in London's West End.

Today was her first performance in her dream role as Eponine. I'm so incredibly proud and happy for her.

Reason 286: Last day of classes for all! To celebrate, we went to Sakura Japanese steak house. Favorite Hibachi place from home, I'm so glad they have one here. Seriously the most fun way to spend our evening. PLUS CHEESECAKE! ALWAYS CHEESECAKE

Not A Shopper

Reason 224: GROCERIES! Hooray for fun trips to Target where you walk through every aisle, and leave with only the food you need to get through the week. And seriously, I NEEDED this food. YAY MILK & CEREAL! Also, managed to buy a birthday present for a certain somepony who is the bestest friend ever. Dunno if he'll like it, but I'm glad I found it nonetheless. (LOL at the fact his mom probably already bought it. Whoops!)

Reason 174: I'm spending the night at Karla's basically all week hehe always fun. It also means I get to sit and enjoy The Food Network. It's proof that there is reality TV that isn't absolutely awful. And today, I found out about two new shows that I'm very interested in as part of their Cooking Channel sneak peaks. If you know Paula Deen, you know that she's been cooking for years and she LOVES her butter & oil. Now, her son has a show called Not My Mama's Meals where he tries to recreate his mom's food but in healthier, lighter forms. This is not only fun to watch, but exciting, considering how he's really making a drastic change in his life for the better. Then there's a show called My Grandmother's Ravioli which I think is adorable. The intro to the show is absolutely precious. The host, a geeky/funny man, talks about how he remembers his grandmother making the best food but he never learned to cook. So, he's looking for Grandmothers and Grandfathers to teach him how to cook! And he travels around learning from the best. :) Seriously, stuff like this makes my day. Favorite channel!

Reason 144: Spending the day with Karla. She seems to be doing better. Her energy levels are down, as expected, but she's eating! She's actually eating! And she's yet to feel sick. I seriously find that to be an incredible success. For the most part, she's been in a positive mood, and that's all I can ask for. She also told me to think long and hard before I ever get pregnant haha. Okay Karla, I know <3

The Thing About Good Food

Reason 135: Breakfast for Dinner!! It's a little treat McDaniel has for exam week. It's fantastic. And of course everybody was in a stellar mood. It was nice getting to spend the evening with some wonderful people :) And most of it was with Jen & John which is always fun. It's nice to be with people that you can just vent to as well as be vented to in a casual way, and still have a grand old time. They shall be missed during break <3

Reason 124: I like having straight up good days. Our project for Group Process is going great, and they chose my song for our intro piece! Woot woot! (Lullabies - Yuna (Adventure Club Remix), I've posted it on here before). Our scene in Acting is getting a lot better. John & Brittany, who I usually walk with after Acting, went on without me because I had to change out of my costume, but came back for me 'cause "it didn't feel right" haha. I got a fantastic shot for my poster for my play in class, I'm excited to make the poster. It's Thursday so we had Chicken Tender Thursday for lunch and Stir Fry for dinner! And then my FYS went to see a play called Heroes which was FANTASTIC, and we had a blast. I come back and Emily has a yummy cookie for me. Hooray today!

Reason 8: After church, I spent my afternoon with Margie & Charlotte (laughing trio!) and Spencer (my little boy/Margie's boyfriend). And we had wonderful pasta & garlic bread. And then sobbed like maniacs at Toy Story 3. (Well, the girls did. Spencer has no tear ducts). I've come to the conclusion that food & love are the best combination. And I had more cheesecake!!

Ladies Night!

Reason 7: Family can be so wonderful. We had Karla's bridal shower today. So many games. And jokes. And SUCH good food (CHEESECAKE BROWNIES? WHAAAT? Heaven!) Honestly, I'm never as happy as I am when the whole family gets together.

So we played a game where people had to guess things about Karla. And one of the questions was "What is their song?". This was the answer <3
