The day started off with one of the yummiest breakfasts I've ever had. The youth group and I went to Milk & Honey cafe in Beltsville and WOW was it delicious. Lots of food and amazing quality. Pricey but so worth it, especially if you know how to order. I love these people and good food makes everything better. Nestor left us afterwards and the girls took a trip to Great Falls. We jammed in the car and then just explored. It was so nice. The falls were lovely and the trails were fun, if not a bit muddy and buggy. I laughed a lot and it felt good to be outside and seeing great things. I truly wish my cramps hadn't been awful. I would've enjoyed it a lot more and I'm sure the girls would have to. But they were incredibly patient with me and understanding. Shout out to supportive ladies helping you through the tough times. After a few hours we drove back home. I felt bad that I kinda cut our day short, but I'll be honest getting home was the greatest feeling ever. A nice hot shower did the trick and I was all better pretty instantly. I thought about other plans I could make to take advantage of the day but honestly? My body deserves a me day. Kinda needs it honestly. Good food. Good friends. Good sunny skies. And lots of doggos. I'm so happy with this day.
Not that I'm necessarily happy that my nephew was sad haha never that. But Karla got a video of him. I guess he was thinking of me which is already so heartwarming. He was whining saying he wanted me. In all honesty he was probably just cranky and sleepy and hungry and wanted to be home. But he said he wanted me. I've rewatched this video a million times. My precious nephew.

Pancake Day
It's a real thing! It's every Mardis Gras. The day before Ash Wednesday is Fat Tuesday aka Pancake Day! So in the office today, we made pancakes. We brought fruit and crackers and eggs and all sorts of delicious things, and we MADE PANCAKES. Mine had banana and chocolate chips. It was so delicious I can't even describe it. I had a happy tummy this morning.
And then I left work early. I left to go to an interview. It was a nice commute honestly, though that's mostly because I wasn't driving haha. DC is intimidating. If I get the job, I gotta figure out if I really want to drive there. Or PARK. We'll see if parking or taking the metro ends up being pricier. Anyway. Building was lovely. Staff was so sweet. The theatre is impressive and feels like something I would be blessed to call home. The director reminded me so much of Elizabeth (my director and department chair at McDaniel) that my heart was singing. Like, even if I don't get the job, I'm happy to have met her. She was so kind and funny and passionate. She spoke with the same devotion, and she even had the same kind of laugh. Which is crazy, because you can always hear Elizabeth laugh and know exactly who it is and where it's coming from. I'm just happy I got to try. This was technically my first real interview! And it felt like it went so well. I have no clue if I got it. But I'm so happy I tried.

Oh Big Brother!
Reason 165: My afternoon was quite lovely, and spent with the ever-charming Evan. Hadn't seen him since prom, so it was nice to catch up. That's one kid who never changes. We went for brunch, which was delicious, and then he invited me to a movie! Purely a day of fun. And I have him to thank for it. Especially considering that he refused to let me pay XD Hooray for gentlemanly gestures

The Thing About Good Food
Reason 135: Breakfast for Dinner!! It's a little treat McDaniel has for exam week. It's fantastic. And of course everybody was in a stellar mood. It was nice getting to spend the evening with some wonderful people :) And most of it was with Jen & John which is always fun. It's nice to be with people that you can just vent to as well as be vented to in a casual way, and still have a grand old time. They shall be missed during break <3
Question for you
