"You Better Blog About Me"

It's been a minute since I've written here. Let's play Catch Up. I'll keep this as close to chronological as I can, and we will see how that goes.

  • No rehearsal feels weird, but it's nice to have some time to myself again
  • Mother's Day plans went swimmingly and my mommy mostly seemed happy to have her grandkids in the house hehe
  • I always love watching Eric come to our house. He misses his family lots
  • Spending a full day with Michael was a ridiculous adventure. I am grateful for his friendship. I am also grateful for mediocre cheesecakes. And I'm glad I could fulfill my purpose and introduce one more person to the perfection of The Princess & the Frog
  • Cristina had a cute little picnic at her school which was a lot of fun, and I was greatly amused by the folksy band they had playing there
  • I hit the one year mark. I honestly was surprisingly okay? The day of the kid's graduation was a lot harder than the one year "anniversary" or whatever you want to call it. Either way. It happened. The "experts" tell me the hard part is over now. Thank God, I'm over this nonsense haha
  • I went to a Burlesque show with Charlotte. We were there to support Emma & Dale. It was a fun time and we got sushi and I enjoyed the evening with a cool person
  • I went to McDaniel graduation. I won't go into details 'cause I'm enough of an emotional mess about this school and these people every other day. It was nice. Goodbyes are hard
  • I went on a date. And it was mediocre. But I was glad I tried. And then we saw Everything Everything which I absolutely adored and thought was so well done and it reminded me that I cannot settle for who I date because WOW do I need someone who gets me and puts butterflies in my tummy and helps me see the world in a new light. Like. This movie was so good. And I don't expect my life to be a movie. But I'm allowed some expectations
  • My Tio Jhonny was here from El Salvador and we got to have dinner with him one evening. He finally met my nephew, and we had a good time catching up
  • Michael & Lindsay Jones had their baby. Her name is Iris and she's a little nugget and the internet exploded and Michael is already THAT dad. He's going to drive some people freaking insane. I love it
  • I had dinner with my old friend Alex yesterday. I got to meet his girlfriend, catch up with his wonderful mommy, and see his pup again! I literally love that dog so much. I also saw his brother, and was slightly amused by how much he liked my flower crown (shout out to Mandy, I got compliments all day). We got to really talk about our lives for the first time in ages, which was awesome. And he was a gem and paid for me. He made me feel really special, especially because he made it a point to tell me that he seriously felt sorry that we weren't in contact too much during college, and he missed me. It's always nice to hear that, after being the one who constantly hung onto other people and begged them to stay in her life, other people want to make the effort to keep me around. When he dropped me off at home, he yelled the title of this post out his window
  • A little over two months until Canada. I'm beyond ready

Ladies of the Laughing Trio

Spent the afternoon with Margie and Charlotte yesterday. Ugh. I love those girls. Seriously. They are such a brilliant support to me when things get rough. They are 1000% ready to spill the tea at all times. We're all just walking memes. And we can always get deep and cry with one another when we need to. Basically, I had a lovely day of venting and laughing and screaming and singing and nonsense. We went to Silver Diner for old times' sake. I'll seriously never get tired of that place. And they finally met Cristina! Little miss was cranky 'cause she literally woke up in front of them, but at least she's cute haha. I'm happy they finally got to see her and that, after much fighting, she eventually said hi to them. Karla taught us all a valuable lesson, too: It is never too hot for manners. Charlotte is off to school for her final year starting next week (otherwise I would've begged the girls to go to Choices with me), so this was a nice last hurrah for the summer. As soon as she's on break, we'll get to do it all over again.

Tonight

Reason 140: I am at a crossroads! I have a choice to make. Either go to the One-Acts again and see more of my wonderful friends, or go to my cousin's birthday party and spend the evening with my wonderful family. Usually I'd pick the party, but since the party is mostly for his friends rather than a family get together (and there will be drinking), the idea is slightly less appealing. I do not know! But that's kinda great, isn't it? No matter what I choose, I'm guaranteed to enjoy myself! That's the beauty of being with those you love <3

Serious Moment
I haven't been able to think of much other than my sister and her little blessing on the way. So when I heard about the shooting, I was seriously devastated. To think God's greatest gifts to us, Kindergartners who were too young to even understand, were taken from us. There aren't words for how unthinkable this act is. But, rather than spread hate, let us send love and prayers to those families who were affected. It won't heal their broken hearts, but we need to show them our support.

Peppermint Hot Chocolate

Reason 118: Hot Chocolate just seems to be a motif in my life for making things better. The laughing trio was reunited today and it was just what the doctor ordered. Gossip. Catching up. Making faces. Laughing obnoxiously. Using sounds instead of words. It was seriously that rush of love that I missed so dearly. I love my AEHS friends. I'm probably never going to let them leave my life. And all we did was sit around in Starbucks, chat, and sip our Peppermint Hot Chocolate. Aren't we sophisticated now? (hah. nope.) And now to get more music on my computer and then Wreck-It-Ralph with the family tonight! YAY

So ready for December <3

Cop Out

Reason 88: I'm not picking. Today was wonderful. And I have so much to say.

  • It was BEAUTIFUL out. Beautiful trees and the weather was so nice.
  • We got Pikachu back. He's safe in the room and no one will ever steal him again!
  • Making plans for our visit to NJ. This can really happen. YAY.
  • Skyped with Storm today. OMG the amount that I missed this kid is ridiculous. He's such a darling, and I loved being able to see him.
    • MET SARA! We finally talked and oh my goodness she's so awesome. And so unfairly pretty!
  • Ghost Tour. McDaniel campus is FULL of ghosts and all the stories are so incredible to hear. It's so cool to have so much history on one campus. Some stories are tragic, but overall it's fascinating. And some aren't even malignant, so it's kind of nice. Some ghosts have even been known to save lives. It gives me chills, in the best way possible!
  • The couples everywhere didn't really bother me today. I was able to feel happy for them. Which, unfortunately, I haven't really been able to do in a while. But today, I was glad to see them smiling together.
Speaking of chills in the best way

It's the Moments

Reason 81: Conversation earlier today

Sammy: -brings giant waffle-
Jess: You felt pretty adventurous, eh?
Sammy: Samantha Arana, the teeny tiny adventurer
Jess: I definitely heard you say teeny tiny erection
Sammy: OMG, can you imagine? That actually would be the worst thing to say to someone.
Sara: The little erection that couldn't.

I died. I love my friends. And spending time with them seriously makes all the difference in the world. We also watched Swan Princess :D
You dunno how badly I want someone to sing this with me

They Came From Way Far Out In Outerspace

Reason 59: We just flash-mobbed the mall! It was so fun! Yay Hairspray! And we had a blast. You could tell we all had SUCH high energy. I was impressed with us. I think we're ready for this :D Also, fun with Adrian, John, & Jennifer once again. We are the best team! And I now ship John & Adrian (teehee i kid i kid. It's so funny how much it bothers them though). And I stole John's newsboy cap that he wears ALL THE TIME mwuahah. But I feel bad because I dunno how to get it back to him. Whoops!

I'll share video once I HAVE it. Until then, here's a few I thoroughly enjoy.
