In A Week
We made a show in a week. Today was our last real rehearsal. We are ready for this. So ready. We are going to have a blast up there tomorrow. The peer mentors LOVED their preview today. The lights look awesome. I am so pumped. We are all so excited. The freshmen will love it. I cannot wait :)

Make Good Choices
We had our first group meeting with the cast of Choices. Honestly, we all know each other very well. But I love absolutely all of these beautiful people. And it was so good to see them in this setting. We will work very hard come August. And I know we will create something magical :3

Second Hand Pride
Jess Mies auditioned for Choices yesterday. My dear roommate is doing theatre things. Today, she was very nervous about her callback interview. However, she did wonderfully. It will be a bit before we find out whether or not she (or I) made it, but it's a big step! She got over that initial audition fear. And now we just wait. I'm so happy for her. And to be honest, I think she will be pleasantly surprised with herself. YAY JESS! A theatre kid at heart. And now, for realsies <3

Never Making Promises
Reason 226: Ever get just so filled with emotion that you have to sob? Like, not sad tears or happy tears or proud tears. Just let it all out and breathe tears. Yeah, I like those. They feel great, and so relieving and comforting. You know what the best part of a show is? When all the little subplots finally connect and EVERYBODY finally knows EVERYTHING and uses all that knowledge to get to a solution. So it is with life. Getting generic answers is useful, but only for a time. Finally knowing 100% exactly the path you need to take? It's enough to make you cry :)

Tonight
Reason 140: I am at a crossroads! I have a choice to make. Either go to the One-Acts again and see more of my wonderful friends, or go to my cousin's birthday party and spend the evening with my wonderful family. Usually I'd pick the party, but since the party is mostly for his friends rather than a family get together (and there will be drinking), the idea is slightly less appealing. I do not know! But that's kinda great, isn't it? No matter what I choose, I'm guaranteed to enjoy myself! That's the beauty of being with those you love <3
Serious Moment
I haven't been able to think of much other than my sister and her little blessing on the way. So when I heard about the shooting, I was seriously devastated. To think God's greatest gifts to us, Kindergartners who were too young to even understand, were taken from us. There aren't words for how unthinkable this act is. But, rather than spread hate, let us send love and prayers to those families who were affected. It won't heal their broken hearts, but we need to show them our support.

Choices
Reason 29: Theatre kids are the effing best. We went to an event tonight called "Choices" which is supposedly the best part of orientation. Umm.. just about. I'm sure there's something better. Can't think of a thing though. It was one of those "how to face modern society" moral plays. But it was SO. GOOD. None of that cheesy or ghetto crap. It was all so real, and I felt pretty proud that I recognized every song and reference they used. Truly great. AND they let us hang out after the show. So I hung out with all the McDaniel theatre kids. How fantastic is that? I'm so in love with these people, and I can't wait to get closer to them. I feel pumped for school & auditions tomorrow.
As over done as this song is. There is nothing better than hearing your school's president rap to this song. Actually, nothing.
