A Post A Day In February

Today is February 1st. I am starting a new project. Since February is always the month where my depression is at its peak and I am an absolute disaster of emotions, I wanted to cut that down by doing something that makes me happy. I'm going to write in the blog every day this month. I am going to find the good in February. I feel like Mandy might maybe possibly stumble upon this? In all honesty, the person most likely to read this is Michael. Ah well. That's what the vlog will be for. In some alternate universe, Angelique and Nick never stopped reading this. Maybe Paul and Gabe kept up, too. Mariah? Nah. It's fine. This month is for me. Here's to starting a new project.

The beginning of the month also means a new picture on the calendar. My Disney calendar is Peter Pan. My Dan & Phil and dogs calendar is valentines Pomeranians. Le death.

Today marks 3 years since Monty Oum passed away. It's still. So. Weird. How much I miss him. Like wow it shouldn't hurt this bad. I've never met him. But he changed my life and countless others, and he inspired me. So today I'm grateful for Monty. And I'm happily watching RWBY reactions so I can see other people fall in love with his magic. And I'm watching my twitter feed remember him, because he really did touch so many people. It's a beautiful celebration of a wonderful man.

Projects

Church gives me feelings sometimes. Like. The world would be such a different place if I ran it. Note, I did not say better. But so so so different. And a lot of what my church is doing is like NO STOP WHY. These ladies get so ambitious. And they're all WE CAN DO IT and I'm like yeah but not in three weeks. BUT we got prompts and such for how we are meant to help during Vacation Bible School. I'm not about making all of the youth help (if people are forced to do things, the work becomes half-assed or looks bad and insincere) or not filling in more adults about how they can help, BUT I do appreciate the somewhat of a heads up, the early organization, and the search for creativity. One Hermana jokingly was like "I can see Sammy thinking already". But she was right. I am thinking already. And, even though I have A LOT of feelings about the subject, I am going to do my best. This church is finally asking for my skills and interests to be put to good use. I'm finally getting the chance to step in and direct a project, which could result in changing a lot of kids' lives for the better. Pray for us!

JUDAISM PRESENTATION OVER! It was a lovely Prezi, if I do say so myself. Our group was pretty dang efficient and did hella work in one day. I am proud of us. I was only up til 4 cause I'm a perfectionist and I need to make it beautiful. But I am happy that it was good and now it's OVER. One less giant project to worry about. Crossing them off my list. Feel so good, no lie.

Reason 312: New project! Because that's all I ever do with my life. I guess it's a good way to occupy my time nice I do get bored often. I got an idea and I carried it out. I'm quite proud of it. I think it's pretty cute. Maybe somewhat unoriginal, but cute nonetheless! This one is a little personal so I'm not gonna go advertising it. Still, I am proud of it and don't mind sharing. If you have any interest, feel free to ask me personally :)

Can we talk about Naruto SD? Because I'm literally still cracking up. Something on the internet actually made me LOL! I couldn't breathe! Ah this show.

Bring A Paintbrush, We're Painting the Town

Reason 206: I'm working on my pledge letter again teehee. And I'm PAINTING! Seriously, when was the last time that a non-visual arts major had to paint for school. SO FUN. It's like I need to get paint all over my hands because I was always so scared of getting anything dirty ever as a kid. I'M SO EXCITED FOR THIS TO BE MADE REAL. I really want to ask my Big what he/she thinks of it. AH. So much anticipation.

Reason 202: I'm making my pledge letter! Which isn't a letter at all. It's a giant project to say that I've earned enough points to join Alpha Psi. SO what have I been doing all day? Chillin' with Karla, making a giant Tetris board. Yup that's the plan! I'll show you once it's done. But I'm having the best time with it. YAY CHILDHOOD IN 3-D!
