Reason 275: I HAVE MADE A DECISION! I am going to re-watch My So Called Life. I have seriously never seen a show about adolescence as honest and non-preachy as that one. I think I need some of that. Also. YAY CLAIRE DANES AND JARED LETO <3 with a few appearances by Shannon Leto as "Jordan's Jerk Friend"!

Pahaha. How times change.

 

I Call Her "Red"

Reason 173: We find out the baby's gender in a week! The suspense is killing us. So, to pass the time, I suggested we make some sort of advent calendar, but for the week! And I came up with it! We wear the colors of the rainbow in order everyday! And then, next Wednesday, we wear white! 'Cause it's neutral and it's like now we find out :D I'm excited teehee. Today, we wear red, and prepare for a week of anticipation!

Title comes from THIS song from the show My So Called Life, which is written by Jared Leto's character, Jordan Catalano. We find out at the end of the episode that the "her" he was referring to in the song was actually his car. Womp womp.

And, as a bonus treat. Watch this video. It's not all that spectacular or anything, high school talent show. But you might recognize one of our favorite people from way back when :)

Count My Tears & Kill These Fears

Reason 20: I faced my fears, dealt with my issues, and forgave someone today. And honestly, it feels so relieving. Maybe things won't be as they were, but foundations can be rebuilt. And if the structure isn't as grand, that's fine. It can be small, but it'll be beautiful. And how great is it that we built it on our own? ^_^

Nothing Will Ever Be As Good As Here & Now

My So-Called Life was a show on ABC in the 90's. It was cancelled after one season and wrongfully so. It followed teenage Angela Chase (played by one of my favorite actresses, Claire Danes) and the reality that is teenage life. Leaving old friends with different interests. Finding new friends. Finding who you are. Drugs. Homophobia. Adultery. Disability. And it was honest. Not like these shows that are all about morals and "do the right thing, kids!". It was real. A big focus of the show was Angela's major crush on Jordan Catalano (played by actor/singer/love of my life, Jared Leto). For most of the show, Angela's emotions were jumbled because of how much she liked him.

Reason 18: This. Is me. Right now. And it feels incredible.
