Reason 308: First off, can we take a moment to appreciate that Madeon is my age? Like, he just turned 19 two days ago (Cristina's birthday!). 1994. My. Age. Like, I've always been super in love with him and had serious respect for him and his art. But now I can like... marry him.

Reason 49: Love & marriage. Karla & Eric are finally married. It's incredible. Today was all kinds of wonderful. You've probably seen pics before I have (I'm so scared to go on facebook haha). And it was such a wonderful day. Celebrating a wonderful thing between 2 wonderful people. With music! And blue velvet cake. AND BLUE ROSES EVERYWHERE! And there was a rainbow in the sky, even though it didn't rain. God is good :)
I didn't cry or take off my heels. I'm proud of myself XD
Reason 19: It's August 15th! Exactly one more month until Karla gets married! How exciting :D
So you know I love harmonies. Therefore I love acapella (Sing Off + Barbershop quartets = All my happiness). Here are some of my favorite SOLO acapella songs.
1st up is my favorite Disney medley. This girl is my age! To me, that's pretty insane. She arranged all the songs by herself. ALSO she made her own costumes & make-up design. And she's a theatre kid! This girl is insane, and I want to meet her and be her best friend. This is actually all her channel is, acapella versions of songs. And as you can see, she's got quite the voice on her. THIS kid is named Sam Tsui, and he sings. He's done a few acapella videos as well as just singing, where he is often accompanied by his friend Kurt Schneider (he is a musician/director and he made those two medley's I posted a few days ago). I was really impressed with this kid's vocals, and this video is addictive. I keep pressing replay.
This is Mike Tompkins. He can't be human. The sounds he can make! Ridiculous. He is a testament to what I call "singer face" (meaning the ugly faces people make when they sing. If you look attractive when you sing, I can almost promise you you're doing it wrong). But honestly, you NEED to look up this guy's stuff. This isn't even my favorite video of his, but it shows the different "instruments" clearly. Heads up, I've always said no one can remix Daft Punk except for Daft Punk (maybe Deadmau5). Apparently, Mike Tompkins is the exception. He actually does techno really well!
