Almost At The End!

  • Sunny day! Sweeping the clouds away! The sun has got his hat on, hip hip hip hooray. It was sucha  freaking gloomy weekend and WOW did natural light really make a difference today.
  • Shantall brought croissants and cheese and turkey today. Yummy work breakfast!
  • 30 Day Challenge complete! Not this, the blog challenge isn't until tomorrow. But I've been listening to ONLY WGTS (the Christian station) in my car for at least 30 days. I can honestly say I don't have any plans to change the station anytime soon. I won't say it's affected me throughout the whole day, but it definitely makes driving a little easier
  • I got my puzzle today! My April puzzle arrived. I think I might do 2 in March because the last thing I need right now is a depressant (aka something to calm me down. My anxiety is fine for now - it's my depression I need to work on, so I need more things to keep me alert and active). I look forward to making pretty things!
  • Andrew Givens is a gem of a human haha. He's Jonathan's best friend since they were itty bitties. Having not heard from Jonathan since November, and being my paranoid self, I decided to ask Andrew if he knew how Lieder was doing. Apparently the same thing happened to him, so JUST TODAY, the two spoke. Only because Andrew made his family force Jonathan to text him haha. I'm happy to hear that he's working hard and doing well, and that it isn't just me missing my best friend. Andrew then proceeded to tell me how he's convinced that Jonathan and I are meant for each other, and that he tells Jonathan this often. He confirmed that Jonathan does in fact hate that as much as I assumed he would hahaha. He's so very wrong, bless his soul, but it's still kind of cute that he'd say that. I really should talk to Andrew more.

Down On Friday

Winding down. Finally the weekend. Oh my goodness. The fact that I got as much done as I did this week is a miracle to me. It's been so odd. But now it's done. I drove ALL THE WAY TO GAITHERSBURG AND BACK for this medication. I have it now. It's in my possession. I am home. I am comfy. I am not leaving the house for the rest of the evening. I'm gonna listen to PTX cover Havana for the rest of time. Kthnx.

It Is Done

Sometimes, it's just really nice to have a super long to-do list and watch as absolutely every little bit of it gets crossed off. We did the things. ALL the things. Whoo!

Day 16: Together
Pieces all together. Puzzle completed together. Trying to attempt keeping myself together.

Completion

It is Fat Tuesday, so I HAD to work on my new 500 piece Mardi Gras puzzle, full of pretty masks and beads and stuff. Unfirtunately, it's 500 pieces and it's all a bunch of shiny and purple and green and yellow and sparkle and whyyyy. But, with the help of some friends, it was finally completed. It's glorious. And it's gonna sit on this table for like a week.

Day 9: Simple
The world lost its color again

A Better Western

A better Wednesday! All my work got done. The project is complete. We cleaned the house today. I watched some of my shows. We opened our show tonight! And I ate tons of delicious food. Today has basically been lovely in so many ways, and I am grateful for it. This week should only get better. I look forward to it.

Blessings In Threes

  1.  My mentee, Torreke, made me his Woman Crush Wednesday today! And it was super duper sweet! Especially after a kinda rough morning. It just made my heart super happy 'cause I love all my mentees so much and I'm glad they love me back! Best FYS ever.
  2. I got to workout today I actually had time what huh what is this magic you speak of I dunno but I did it and I feel AWESOME. Also super hungry like I want to eat literally everything.. But we're ignoring that. Yay diet & exercise!
  3. Day 8: Rough
After a rough time of going through the ENTIRE STORE in like 15 days, I had my list of every single item in the store. This was the rough draft. And it was a rough printing job. The finalized version is actually much more concise and neat and easy to read. But now I'm DONE with that big project, and moving on to phase two.  Considering I didn't start phase two until like an hour before closing, I am happy with being 6 pages in (out of 95. It's a lot but hey gotta make it last anyway 'cause this is my job for the summer). YAY PROGRESS AND PRODUCTIVITY.

Bonus: Not as much of a blessing but boy do I feel blessed.
A navy seal walked into the store today for some good old fashioned grocery shopping. I saw him from behind first and IMMEDIATELY was like what? Young white person? Lies. Then I got a good look at him while he was at the register and WHOOOO. My life is changed. I dunno his name, I dunno his age, all I know is he is a gentleman and BEAUTIFUL. He was seriously so sweet to the cashier. And when  had to pass him to keep working, I said excuse me and he said you're fine. My mind was like NO YOU. Seriously, he was swoon worthy. Cute smile and everything. Ah! I passed by the front of the store a few minutes later to get a cart and saw him pacing by his car while on the phone. I just thought FRIEND. HOW CAN I HELP YOU. YOU LOOK SO SAD. DO YOU NEED DIRECTIONS? I CAN DIRECT YOU TO EXACTLY WHERE YOU NEED TO BE RIGHT NOW. Lol it was ridiculous. I was ridiculous. But there has been a shortage of handsome men at this store and THIS ONE SERVES OUR COUNTRY. GOD BLESS AMERICA.

Through God Who Strengthens Me

Major Accomplishments That Have Been Made Possible By The Lord (inspired by Graeme)
  • I have been Stage Mom for two years, and I have helped many people within Alpha Psi
  • I am able to show my Little just how much she means to me and be there for her
  • I run this blog to remind myself and others of the joy that can be found in this world
  • Despite my fear, I have been a pretty great Aunt to Cristina
  • I was in a seven year toxic relationship and I got out
MAJOR. Accomplishments. I do not know if I can stress how difficult these have been. But I did it. And it is not based on my wavering strength, but on the consistent unstoppable strength of God. He was with me then. And He will continue to be with me through my troubles. Through the struggles of project stress. Through my journey for self-love. Through this trial of making the right decisions and mending my heart after experiencing loss. All of it. I've just got to take one more step. And after all those steps I have already taken, with God by my side, one more step seems possible.

I Taught A Class Last Thursday!

Dear Sammy:

I apologize for the delay in grading. I wasn't feeling the greatest over the weekend and wanted to be sure this had my full attention.

When starting off the group you said, "Judging by the mood, I'm going to try something different." YES!!! Good job. Next time, you don't even have to say "Judging by the mood." Just change it up.

Hand Gestures is just what the group needed to get them laughing and more perky. And Breaking the News was clear and concise.

The group trusts you and your leadership. Regardless of whether or not you were nervous, you seemed calm and collected with dashes of confidence sprinkled in. You were steady and controlled, but not afraid to clarify if you knew something needed to be clearer.

Diplomas were the perfect ending to a dreary day. The class came in with so much low energy, but they perked up and had something tangible to take home with them. Well done.

I have full confidence in your next leadership session. And that interactive/group process seems to be helping you a bunch.

With all this in consideration, your leadership grade is an A.

Nice work,

Adult Papers

Hey! I had to fill out forms so that I could get paid for being a peer mentor! And they're all long and scary and intimidating because I have no freaking idea how to be an adult. But I did it! Got all the paperwork completed today. It really is such a little victory but hey. We all have to make that jump sometime. I never want to do it again. But I'm gonna have to. At least I know I will be able to do it when the time comes!

I FIXED IT!

Reason 347: The radio stopped working today! The power flickered and the radio said NOPE. And when we finally got someone to turn it back on, we couldn't get the stations to work. After about an hour of silence in the store, I had had enough. I marched over to the office and played with the old contraption until LO AND BEHOLD 97.1 BLAST THROUGH THE SPEAKERS! And I danced like a fool, which is just about my favorite thing.

The first song to come on :D

Independent

Title to be read in the voice of Rudolph

Reason 303: Today was my first day on my ownsome for work. Yeah, I had to work on Memorial Day. But they let me do it all by myself. :$ Eek! But it's okay. Everything went pretty well :D I'd call today a success. Feels good ^_^.

Happy Memorial Day :)
Um, yeah, this is perfection. No one sings it like her.

AMOR. CTPACTb. 信念. RÊVES.

Reason 300

I got mail. I got mail. I got mail hey hey hey hey! I got mail. I got mail! And it's the 30 Seconds to Mars album! TODAY TODAY TODAY (mixing song references is confusing).
They've blown my mind. Honestly. This album is beautiful. And I own a copy!!

Guys. This is my 300th post. That's pretty crazy. I've been doing this for almost a full year now. 300 reasons that I enjoy my life. That is truly something to be celebrated. I love that this exists. I love that this is mine. Thanks for being a part of the journey with me. For all 3 of you that read this, let me know what you think. I've really had a blast with this, and it was super easy to get into the habit of writing an entry a day. Should I keep it going once the year is done? Would you guys be interested? I probably wouldn't update it every day, but still. Comment with your opinions or suggestions!

Highlight of the WEEK

Sammy: I'm legitimately trying to find a discreet way to blog about it
Jess: lol be blunt as hell. He deserves it
<3

Reason 216: I'm not going to be "blunt as hell" haha. Let's just say a friend of mine posted something today. It was a very simple statement in regards to how he felt about his current situation. In short, he's content. On Saturday, Reason 210, I ended by quoting the picture I used, "I will do it." Today, thanks to this simple statement, I can say I've reached the final step. Because I'm content, too. Better than that. I'm finally extremely happy. And it can only get better from here. "Yes, I did it!"

PS: Thanks to all for keeping me in your thoughts and prayers. I feel SO much better in regards to this stupid illness. Gastroenteritis takes a good week to get rid of, so I'm still pretty contagious. But the symptoms are gone, and I've managed to mostly get rid of the cough I had beforehand. I don't sound dead when I sing anymore. Our show opens Wednesday. I'm going to Disney World. Blessings all around. God is good. Forgive me if I sound like I'm bragging, but I'm really just so happy.

Ed Sheeran rapping. Cannot get over it.
