It's A Date

We have set a date for my interview! Tuesday the 13th. I'm so nervous. I'm so excited. I'm so hopeful. Oh my goodness pray for me this feels HUGE I MIGHT ACTUALLY GET A NEW JOB

Speaking of. I did good work today. Couldn't finish everything. Especially because I came in a bit late. But I still made my 8 hours, got all the surgery stuff done on time, and made good progress on everything else. Wow it feels good.

Also no driving for so long! Twas icy and rainy, so mommy drove me to work and daddy drove me home. And then Thursdays we have church so mama and I always travel together! Two whole days off for me! Whoo!

The 5th

It was cold this morning. Too cold. So cold my car was essentially frozen shut. And there wss black ice everywhere. So I was afraid and mama said no no, I will take you to work. Which meant more time to relax, actually seeing sunlight in the morning, and spending a bit of time with my mom.

After craving sugar for what feels like forever and a day WE GOT M&MS AT WORK. I saw the commercial yesterday, by the way. It literally had to be Danny DeVito haha.

I took a Lyft home. The driver was so very nice. And she made me feel safe and comfortable. I liked her a lot.

Rehearsal went well but honestly I'm just happy I made it there and back safely. I got lots of work to do tomorrow so I'm off to bed a little early.

Flynn

My dad gave me the car. The Camry that I've been practicing in. While I doubt I'll keep it forever, I'm sure I'll have it for several years. It's about the cheapest option possible, and I didn't even ask. Plus, I already know this car so well. It definitely helps with the nerves. Soon, we'll get started on the details with insurance and registration and all that. I insist on getting it done sooner rather than later. I don't plan to drive much and quite honestly, my anxiety has been boosted, knowing that no one is going to ride with me now. But this is a good thing. I hate to ignore my mental illness because pretending that the good outweighs the bad is only going to make the anxiety worse. But I can at the VERY least realize how blessed I am to have such a very essential tool at my disposal and without nearly as much cost to me as most others have to encounter. His name is Flynn. Named after Kevin Flynn and Sam Flynn from Tron and Tron 2 respectively. All my technology is named after Tron stuff, and I'm sticking with the theme. It feels like the name that suits him best. Flynn has been good to me. And now it's my turn to be good to him.

Reason 178: Learning to drive starts. I'm lazy so it's not too exciting. But it is at the same time. After taking this practice test 1000 times and being drilled by Karla & Eric, I'm gonna take my written test for my permit tomorrow. I know, about time, right? Progress, Sammy. Progress is good.
