SHE BLOGGED! HALLELU! I dunno if you remember me telling you that Sara got a blog ages ago. Well lot of good that did, because her first entry was her only one for a very long time. UNTIL TODAY. Oh my gosh and it's so good. Like, here I am struggling in this mess of an astronomy class. And she said the perfect words. I love her. Yes. Yes to blogs! They are a healing experience.

My Hero
Reason 323: Remember Mariah? I posted about her AGES ago. September 28th I believe. When I was incredibly depressed and she took me to my first baseball game. WELP. Lately, I've been lonely. I don't know why. I've just been missing people more so than usual, and realizing a lot of them don't miss me. Also, I'm realizing how much people are changing, which is fine for them, but in terms of where I want to be with my life, it's not healthy. This happens. It's a part of life we all must accept, and we do all get over it. However, as the world's clingiest friend (though surprisingly I'm not that clingy of a girlfriend. Not that you would know, I've been single for the entire time I've had this blog), I sometimes get overwhelmed by this fact of life and get in a rut. Like now. WELL it's Mariah to the rescue. And again, I can't thank her enough. Because in 2 weeks, there is a very high chance I'm going to go see these guys live in concert.
A day with friends and amazing music is all I could ever hope for.

Shall We Dance?
Reason 316: Let's be honest. Today sucked. Why? Because it happens. Life is not always so positive and sometimes that builds up. So we cry. But that's good! Have you ever had that? Just a really good cry. Where you just let everything go? Really, just release whatever may be hurting your heart, as simple or complex as it may be. It all just gets released. And then you relax. You get your energy back, and you face the world feeling brand new. You've let go of all the negative. And are ready to take in all the positive! Starting with the incredible friends around you that want to help you do so.
I long for a world where, when it really gets tough, I can just go dancing.

From the Cheesecake
Reason 97: Our dear friend Lauren. So unfortunately, thanks to Hurricane Sandy, our plans for New Jersey were cancelled. I will not see my best friend Storm this weekend. Obviously, Emily and I were disheartened. However, Lauren came to our rescue. Her lovely mom is here all weekend and is taking us around for fun times. We went to Towson Mall (best. mall. ever.) and shopped for ages. And we went to Cheesecake Factory! Tomorrow we may go out for breakfast. I needed a night with my girls. And I greatly appreciate the generosity of this family.

Dear(est) John
Reason 96: "Yeah, I just really don't like sweet things. -said in a purposefully cheesy voice- Which is odd considering I'm friends with you" - John Wontrop
And this is why, even on the worst of days, I absolutely adore my friends <3

Hot Chocolate
Reason 60: Crappy days happen. I had one today. Don't know why. But especially after rehearsal, I'm in a bad mood. And then I walk in here and my dear friend Sara has white hot chocolate waiting for me. The joys in life.
This is one of my favorite Christmas movies. I'm excited for any and all holidays.

Chin Up, Cheer Up
Reason 56: Good friends. You already know. He couldn't make it today. Basically what I've been looking forward to all week was shot down, 'cause that's always how it goes. And yeah, I'm pretty heartbroken about it. I think I'm much more upset than he is. I spent most of the morning moping about it. Then, during break, Mariah (Our assistant stage manager/classmate for Theatre Appreciation/fellow Cappie/ probably my best friend in the theatre) came to talk to me. She invited me in the morning to go to a Nationals game tomorrow, and I said I didn't know if I could because I would be with guest. Later, I asked if she'd offer the ticket to anyone else yet. She automatically knew, and she hugged me and basically let me whine to her about it. And then promised me a wonderful day tomorrow. After today, I certainly need it. But I'm grateful to her and all the dear people around me for helping me along. Now, if you'll excuse me, Sara & Jess have promised me a Harry Potter marathon sleepover :)
Hooray for the band-aids in our lives <3
