A New Friend

His name is Bense. He's Hungarian. He's here at McDaniel for the semester. I have Film Analysis with him. He's super sweet. He's pretty cute. He has very nice arms. He's kind of distracting. He let me sit next to him in lab tonight. He chatted with me. He apparently lives in this building, potentially on this floor? He walked be back to my room. He responded to me thanking him for his company with "anytime". I'm a little happy.

The Death of The Work Crush

(In reference to a joke I made saying I would make a book entitled A Week Without the Work Crush)

So as I have previously mentioned to a few people, le work crush has a girlfriend. As soon as I found this out, I was past it. I'm basically unable to have feelings for anyone who is off limits. Call it a survival tactic. Anyway, as soon as someone is taken, I stop the feelings I have for them. I'd much rather just be happy for them ^_^. SO I saw him today for the first time since I found out. And you know what? It was nice. Because we just chatted. He realized I was sick (seriously guys, my boss sent me home early. Did I look THAT BAD?) and he wished me well. And it was cool because there were actually no real feelings. He was just someone I could talk to. Maybe not a friend, because hoping for an actual friend in my workplace is like asking for Rosario to Vampire to have an actual story. He's just someone I can talk to, and that's really all I ask for :)

SO. You've heard me talk about Becoming Youtube, another Youtube documentary. Which I'm in love with. So THIS? Looks amazing. I can't wait for it to come out. I'm so excited.

Knock 3 Times

Oh my goodness the work crush. After not seeing him for over a week, he came in today. three times. Ugh. I can't. Let me just swoon forever. Also, he knows when my last day is now so I better see him then! Anyway. I'm kinda giddy. It's really sad. I just. Meh! He makes my miserable work day so much better.

Reason 357: Let's be real. Like 100% real right now. Le work crush. I know. I'm such a girl. It's gross. But dangit, the kid is cute! And talking to him makes me happy :) I only get to do so for about 20 more days. Let me be a dork while I can.

GOLAZO!

Reason 337: Today was perfect. Even when it wasn't, it was perfect.

Today is Cristina's day. She is now officially one month old as of 8:50 this morning. She really has gotten big. She's so beautiful and I'm so lucky she's in my life. Also, since a month has passed, that means the grounding is over! YAY SHE'S ALLOWED TO WATCH DISNEY NOW!

Honesty is what gets me through. I hate keeping things secret. Even crushes. And they never stay secret for long. So I told Fabrizio I liked him. Why? Because once I get something off my chest and stop brooding about it, I'm able to look at things more clearly, and then just move on. He took it well. He doesn't like me (please offer a big fat I told you so to your sister from me hehe), but that's not surprising. And now, I'll get over him! That's honestly so simple! The best part is he isn't awkward about it all. He's a better sport than I thought. Pleasantly surprised :)

Family reunions! We didn't get to stay too long unfortunately, which put a damper on things. But we went to my cousin Avi's house, and we met Baby Eli (eh-lee). He was born May 26th, four days before Cristina was born. The whole family got to meet both of them today. There was a lot of cooing. And just being near these people always beings me so much joy. There is endless love in this family, and never ending laughs.

BRAZIL WINS CONFEDERATION CUP! YES! MY TEAM! I KNEW WE COULD DO IT. 3-0 against Spain, aka 2010 World Cup Champions. HA. (2nd favorite team, I'm not actually hating hehe). And because I was away today and could not watch it, I had Eric sending me texts about every goal. I swear he was so serious and formal about it, I thought ESPN might have been texting me haha. I'll have to share them some time, they were too funny.The final one reads "Thank you for signing up with the Entertainment Reporting Information Center". Get it? It spells Eric. This kid!

Pretty Boys Who Can Sing. Straight NoChaser was AMAZING. Mariah & I had such a blast. And her friend was such a sweetheart. We fangirled hardcore. I haven't ever swooned so much in my life. But seriously, I can't get over how good these guys are. And how nice they were! And absolutely attractive. I'm marrying Michael. The end. They're set was so cool. SO MUCH SOUL. Hallelujah was mind-blowing. Tainted Love was CRAZY. The movie medley had me geeking out and almost crying. And for the encore, because you KNEW we would demand one. They apparently decided not to do it all summer, but they performed 12 Days of Christmas for us. EXCEPT EVERYONE SANG ALONG TO THE DREIDEL SONG. I COULD'VE CRIED. Seriously, the whole show was so perfect. Actually, Jerome fainted at the beginning of the second song. I wasn't sure if it was real or not because they all stopped at the same time. Like, it was CRISP. But they took him offstage, the techies made sure he was okay, the guys started the next song, and by the end of the first verse he was right back up and dancing. The fall was the joke of the show, which kinda made me feel bad, but he took it like a champ. I felt proud. Is that weird? APPARENTLY in the house that the original members lived (In Indiana U where the group was initially formed in the 90's), there's a shrine to them? I'm gonna ask Margie to go take pictures for me.

TODAY WAS FUN. I LOVE TODAY.

Feelin' 22!

Reason 335: Aww, Eric. The fool. He challenged me to a MarioKart rematch. Winner gets lunch at the place of their choice. So the fact that I'm getting me some Five Guys in the near future excites me. Also just how much I've been talking to Eric again. I almost forgot what it was like to have someone there for you all the time. Yay real friends. (You, of course, are ALWAYS a true friend). He even got me excited for a web series coming out in July! RWBY, by the same people who did Red vs Blue. I haven't even seen the show yet and I already want to cosplay it.

PS: Title is because I asked le work crush his age yay for knowing SOMETHING) and apparently he's 22! That's acceptable, right? I can admire him and not feel ridiculously creepy?

Full of Firsts

Reason 334: Hooray for restoration of faith in my customers! No creepy men today, YAAAAY! (The fact that this even needs to be celebrated...). However there was one gentleman today who stopped and talked to me. He told me he admired me because I was always smiling and positive, and he said I was really good at dealing with customers. That SERIOUSLY flattered me. Also, there was a really cute guy that came in, and he asked for my number! That's never happened! That's never flippin' happened! Never in my life! Let's be honest, I probably would've given it to him if he weren't flippin' 26. But I trusted my initial judgement and went with the "I'm 17" lie. And he was so sweet! Like he was really polite and like.. meh. Things that may never happen again, but I'm glad they happened today :)

 

At one point we must talk about the work crush. 'Caaaaause that's a thing LOL I'm a mess.

Reason 263: Who just bought their sister the BEST baby shower gift ever? THIS GIRL! No, no applause necessary. Thank you. But actually, I'm way too proud of it. Shh, it's a secret!

Also! Let's talk about cute boy. Remember cute boy? The one I saw way back in December at that show that Alpha Psi Omega put on for the holidays. Yeah, the one who I still haven't spoken to 'cause I'm pretty sure he has a girlfriend and I don't plan on pursuing anything anyway and that one time he replied to my compliment on McDaniel compliments. Him. Yeah, he's in the cast for the Children's Show, and he just happened to show up at rehearsal today a little before he was called/I had to leave. GRAH. FML. WHY AM I A GIRL?!?
