Beautiful Souls

So a couple of work things that make me super happy, despite mother constantly hovering over me as if I don't know how to behave in a work environment. I love having young people around. That feels weird and old of me to say. But the last time I was working at this store, I was the only person in her teens or near her twenties. It sucked feeling so formal all the time. I felt like a baby, not an employee. But now I have Kevin (my godsister Ariel's little brother) who is like 18 or 19 now. And a guy named Rony (Roni? Ronnie? Ronny? Must ask). Who is probably like 16, and goes to Blair. He doesn't talk to me as much, but he is really chill. It's just NICE to have those people and feel like I can be goofy without my only "peers" going "aww look how cute she is". Joke WITH me, people! Also, I was hired to do a very specific job, but I still find myself helping the cashiers do some of their stuff (as long as it's not behind the register. I remember the struggle. I got their backs). And my boss told me today how she is so happy with me and that I am helping out because she's been asking for all this stuff to be done for MONTHS and I did more work in one day. That felt awesome.

These two videos are very important to me.
Both for very different reasons.
(R.I.P Monty Oum. You make me so proud)

What do?

Reason 319: So I told you about Mr. Dennis before, but for the purposes of this blog I shall retell the story. There's this kid whose name is Dennis. He is 15, Hispanic, goes to Northwood. He shops at the store often. He is incredibly friendly and always strikes up a conversation with whoever is at the register. I'm fairly certain he has some type of autism. But I think that may be why he's so friendly. Well today, I was coming back to the store after my lunch break (I eat in the office downstairs with my mom) and he was leaving the store. He sees me and asks how I'm doing. And he goes onto tell me that I'm very pretty and cute. At which point I turn bright red because I CANNOT handle compliments ever. And he's all concerned and asks "Too awkward?" to which I reply honestly "No, not at all. It was very flattering". He smiles and goes about his way. Gah. He's a sweetheart and he makes my day.

I can't stop playing this. Nope. Can't do it. In my head ALL THE TIME.

"Mother Father Gentlemen"

Reason 282: I often complain about having no guy friends on campus. While having a lovely hilariously inappropriate dinner with John, I ran into Norman, Brandon D, Josh P, Josh H, Najee, and Aarik. And I got some pretty great hugs and conversation. I'm quite pleased :3 (But you should still, you know, be here so we may romp about the Cherry Blossoms or something. Actually we'd probably just stay inside in our jammies and watch Up. Dear God that sounds amazing.)

I know this song has been around for the better part of the year but I cannot stop playing it. Whoever says they hate techno just doesn't know where to look (slash doesn't realize what year it is).
