Personal Invite

Reason 283: Cole messaged me today. "Oh but before I forget. As a friend of mine, Nick's, Jon's, and now Alex's. You are always welcome over at the house next year for food and shinanigens." Honestly, that touched my heart. It's nice to feel accepted :)

What needs to happen is I need to stow away in your suitcase

What is Bastard Amber?

Reason 212: I got into Alpha Psi Omega! YAY! I'M A NEW MEMBER! And they liked me board :3 I'm so glad, I seriously worked so hard on that thing. And now, we decipher clues that make zero sense in order to find out who my big is. First clue: "Sometimes I'm quite odd"... okay, so every theatre kid ever XD

PS: The colors of the fraternity are Moonlight Blue and Bastard Amber... what? Just say blue & gold, and let me cry because I now have to wear the colors of a certain school that I shall not mention on my blog.

And now, a link to one of my FAVORITE tumblr blogs
But I ask you
  1. Why do so few of these have pants? Boo dresses.
  2. Why are none of these suitable to actually wear in Disney World? -sigh- No Disneybounding for Sammy in March haha

Community

Reason 107: So earlier in the weekend, Youtuber Charlie McDonnell, aka charlieissocoollike posted this video:

Not long after, these video responses were posted:

Currently, there are three whole pages of video responses.

To me, a sense of community isn't found in a small town where everyone knows each other. It's where a bunch of strangers have one thing in common and support each other without hesitation. I love this. It's absolutely inspiring. Not only is one of youtube's most successful vloggers admitting to something that haunts everyone at some point (at every point), but people are coming back saying they understand and doing what they can to reassure him and keep him going. It's absolutely brilliant, so moving, and I'm thrilled this is how I started my day.

I extend this challenge to you. Today we're being selfless, but TOMORROW, do something for yourself. Something you're scared of doing because of what others may think of you. "Take a minute. Take a day. Take a week. And just be scared. And then stop. And don't let it get to you."

Proud Crying

Reason 106: Today in church, Keila accepted Jesus into her heart. I don't know if you remember Keila. When you came to visit, she was the little girl who was super shy and afraid to say hi to you, but I asked her for a hug and she gave me a super big bear hug? I know that's pretty vague. But it touched my heart. I've watched this little girl grow up. She's so special to me. And to see her take this major step in her faith is so beautiful to me. I teared up a good bit. Many blessings to her :)

Let's make tomorrow a selfless day. Let's try to do our best to think of others before we think of ourselves. I'm sure we can make something great of it!
