*Sings "Lilly's Eyes" Obnoxiously*

Nick's mommy has adopted a foster child for the time being. Her name is Lily and she's a sweetie. I love hearing about her, and I love that she's in a home where she will definitely be cared for. I've been telling Nick that, since he's never seen Frozen, he and I should watch it together. I'm not pressed on him liking it, but I think he'll enjoy the animation at least. Now that Lily is there, I keep insisting that we should watch it with her. It's my own selfish way to spend time with her. Well according to him, she is excited to watch it with me! She really only cares because I'm a person Nick knows who has taken interest in her. (He can deny it all he wants, she adores him already and he's gonna adore her so soon if he doesn't already). But I am very very happy that I might be able to spend some time with her AND she's actually happy about it! I feel like I'm meeting royalty haha it's an honor. Plus what's better than Disney with precious itty bitties?!

Prayers from Small Hands

We went to church today. Our church has services on Thursdays that are specifically for prayer. We sing a little bit. We have our lesson as usual. And then we have half an hour to pray. We pray in groups for the specific requests from the congregation. So that others know we are here to support them and that we will pray for their health, their safety, their success, their happiness, their spiritual growth and so on. Of course, before we all start praying, whoever is leading the service at that time asks for any thanks someone may want to give publicly or anything we may want the congregation to pray for. Tonight, thanks came from a little boy. He looks familiar but honestly I can't say I know him. Maybe I just need to go to more Thursday services. Regardless. He gave the Lord thanks for his family, for the privilege he has to be living where he is, and for his life and love in general. It warmed my heart. He stood up of his own accord to say that. If he truly was so greatly moved by what God has blessed him with that he felt the need to share it with all of us, then I honestly can't think of a greater gift. How blessed is he to have found that kind of love so young? I am thankful tonight for the heart of that little boy.

Driving Miss Daisy

Reason 360: My mother's a fool and Eric Allasi is the best friend a girl could ever have. We finally got our MarioKart rematch. And of course I won. CHAMP, BABY! We also spent the whole day with Daisy, his 6 year old sister. She is precious. And she reminded me that I actually love kids. She's such a sweetie! She was well behaved, told me all about her school day, talked about My Little Pony with me, and so on. We went to Panera (FOR THEIR FIRST TIME) and she was very excited to get a pink cookie shaped like a Daisy haha. When Eric was driving us back home, she asked me if I could stay with them longer. I seriously did not want to leave that little girl's side <3

So, as an avid Pogo fangirl, I thought I'd share his genius.

Dream Team

Reason 359: After getting out of work early (PRAISE), my day basically consisted of VBS. I had a blast. We had about 70 kids. This thrills me. And it looks like they had fun! Such cute kids. I hope I can be helpful. I think I already have a favorite kid haha I have to learn his name. I'm in charge of the 7-10 year-olds with Angie, Fabrizio, and my mommy. I'm surprised she wasn't all about that 3-6 life haha. But this one kid in our class is in line heading up to the classroom and asks me what we're about to do. I tell him we're gonna do arts and crafts. He gets really excited. I challenge him to make the best one he can. He's like alright! Mine is gonna be the ugliest one! <3 Bless his little soul haha. I had fun. We had fun. And we get to do it again tomorrow :)

You Go, Kid!

Reason 321: This girl comes in all the time with her friends. She's obviously in middle school. She's super sweet, makes nice conversation. Today she an her friend were excited 'cause they finished their last day of school. I called them lucky. So they asked what grade I was in, and I said college. She asked if I got any scholarships, so I told her I got a few. She came right next to me and said, "I'm gonna need a high five for that!" She and her friend then asked me to teach them the Cup Song. This little girl knows what's up! Yay for a brighter future :)

The Cup Song as I know it. Whoops. (Just taught them the moves of course)

"Say Thank You!"

Reason 305: Wednesday is a slow day in work. People rarely shop on Tuesdays or Wednesdays. So, we pass the time entertained by the little ones that walk in. Seriously. There's way too many precious kids. Oh my goodness. You don't even know. They all just say the most darling things :)

The opening. The ending. The animation. The music. The plot. The characters. OH MY LORD IT'S SO GOOD. Attack On Titan. Did I mention the opening?
Lesson Re-Learned: Taking Storm Kowaleski's advice is dangerous. Accurate. But dangerous.

"You Can't Be Friends With Ghosts"

Reason 298: My co-worker's daughter is THE. CUTEST. THING. She tried to help, she truly did. She just had so much energy and was constantly giggly and smiley. And she loved to play. She asked me what lemons were, and when I told her, she told me her recipe for lemonade. "First, you have to find the sours. Then you make lemonade. And then you need customers." Seriously. the cutest. And she was watching Brave, both in Spanish and English, basically all day. She brightened the entire store right up.

6 years since my Abuelita Rosa Margarita passed. And she's sorely missed <3
Doing great things for you.

Children of God

Reason 78: Church! Oh how I've missed everyone. And today was kids' day, so everything was festive and pretty and everyone was in a good mood and the kids performed. Too adorable. I love that place, and it's nice to know people missed me too <3

I'm in love with this song
