This song. Is going. To get me through. A LOT. I can feel it.

4-28-15
I sat with Mariah for a bit as she talked to a dear old IT man in McDaniel's library. And he decided to tell us stories of his younger days when he was a rebel. And he taught us about the best way to get a woman's attention. He told us the story of when he first saw his wife. He was at a party and from across the way he saw "the most beautiful woman in the world". He was so absolutely amazed, and he saw she was walking towards their party. And then she was walking right towards their friend group. And then he, as eloquently and suavely as any man has ever wooed a lady, said "uhh.. ahhh... ughh.. hh... can I get you a beer?" and she responded "that would be lovely" and she smiled at him. And he went into the kitchen and actually took some time to catch his breath. He told us he doesn't believe in love at first sight. "It's all bullsh*t". But they have been happily married for about 27 years. Their anniversary is coming up. She is apparently the email admin at McDaniel, so I'm guessing they come into work together. Congratulations to the happy couple.

I Love Storytime!
I'm spending the majority of this week at Karla's. As you know, I'm also reading LoterĂa. I chose it as the book for January in the book club that Karla started, so she's also reading it currently. We're actually at the same place, we realized. So today, while Karla waited for my nails to dry (they're so pretty, go look at the picture she posted!), she read to me. We laughed because it's such a vulgar book and there were just so many words she had to skip haha. But it was still really nice, going through the journey together and bouncing theories back and forth. Story time is the best!

God's Plan
Reason 193: STORYTIME! So this morning was kind of crazy. I was going to go to bed early but decided to stay up. I'm finally getting ready to go to bed at 2AM, and then Jess walks in the room. Apparently she did not want to wake her roommate Kelly, and we'd told her it was okay for her to come down. Thank God we were awake. She's been sick, as mentioned previously, but getting better. She walks in and says, now that her medication is up, she could feel her throat closing and she wondered whether or not she should call Campus Safety. Long story short, we went to the hospital, only to get medication for the poor darling and make sure nothing new was occurring. So her parents got there around 4. And then they finally attended to her. God's smart. He waited until her parents were present so that all the information could be taken care of properly. Jess stayed with her parents at the hospital, and Campus Safety escorted us back to campus. We got back at 4:30 and were beyond exhausted. I slept in a little later than I usually do because I was so tired. I log onto my email, same as always, and see a message from my teacher for my only morning class saying that class has been cancelled. I collapse onto bed and sleep until past 12, with more than enough time to get to my afternoon class. I would love to just take a look at God's clipboard and figure out how everything just falls into place so perfectly.
The reason I was up so late.
New addiction.
No regrets.

Body & Soul
Reason 103: My Group Process class. I told you it's one big therapy session, right? Today we did Self-Revelatory performances. Basically, tell a story that has impacted your life. I don't go until Tuesday, so we got to watch 3 of the 6 performances today. Obviously, I can't tell you what they were. Confidentiality, understandably. But it truly touched my heart. I'm blessed to be in a class such as this. One story completely related to me. It spoke of a decision, and choosing desire versus what you know is best. It sort of makes me reevaluate my relationship with God, and I'm glad I could take step back. Another, I had no connection to at all. It was such a strong story, and it weighed heavy in my heart. But it's like I saw a new side of this person. And I got a good few tears out of it, which was very cleansing. I'm glad I took this class. Honestly, truly. Can't wait until Tuesday, I'll do my best to tell our story well.
This song always does a good job of cleansing my attitude. Beautiful lyrics, great melody, and all the love for Jared Leto. 30 Seconds to Mars does good work haha

Dressing Up, Looking Good, & Feeling So Alive
Reason 95: Halloween. First time I dressed up in ages. Seeing all the costumes. Getting all done up. Taking pictures. Eating candy. MAKING OUR OWN STORY. I absolutely love this holiday. Today was just fun.
This is Emma. She's my white twin. This was decided during Hairspray. Interestingly enough, the costumes were not planned! (I'm SO GLAD I got that haircut!!)
And this is what my title is from. MY CHILDHOOD. IT'S SO 80'S!

Part 2 Of My Confessions
Reason 50: So part 4? Yeah, more and more likely. But I have stuff to tell you. Basically, it makes Part 4 a lot better. A lot sweeter. This weekend was wonderful. Part 4 was just the marshmallow fondant on the blue velvet cake :)
PS: This song reminds me of running laps in the LMS gym.
